Will you then not ...?

Alif Lam Mim. (This is) the Revelation of the Book in which there is no doubt,- from the Lord of the Worlds.

It is Allah Who has created the heavens and the earth, and all between them, in six Days, and is firmly established on the Throne (of Authority): ye have none, besides Him, to protect or intercede (for you): will ye not then receive admonition?

He rules (all) affairs from the heavens to the earth: in the end will (all affairs) go up to Him, on a Day, the space whereof will be (as) a thousand years of your reckoning. Such is He, the Knower of all things, hidden and open, the Exalted (in power), the Merciful;-

He Who has made everything which He has created most good: He began the creation of man with (nothing more than) clay...

These are the ayaath of chapter "The Prostration" (As Sajda) ... Will you then not prostrate to YOUR creator ??
The caller calls for prayers five times every day ... will you then not respond with labbaik ???

O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?-

O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?-

O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?-
Him Who created thee. Fashioned thee in due proportion, and gave thee a just bias;
In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together.
Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment!
But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,-
Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds):
They know (and understand) all that ye do.

These are the ayaath of chapter "The Cleaving" (Al-Infitar) ... Will you then not fear to be called to account ??

The most beautiful names - Al-Ghaffar

Assalaamualekum

Let us learn the most beautiful names of Allah (subhanahu wa taala) together with references from the holy Qur'an and sunnah insha'Allah

AL-GHAFFAR الغفار
THE FORGIVING, THE FORGIVER
The One who forgives the sins of His slaves time and time again.

SAD (THE LETTER SAD) 038.066: Rabbu alssamawati waal-ardi wama baynahuma alAAazeezu alghaffaru
"The Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all between,- Exalted in Might, able to enforce His Will, forgiving again and again."

NOOH (PROPHET NOOH) 071.010: "Saying, 'Ask forgiveness from your Lord; for He is Oft-Forgiving;

Allah forgives the sins, small and big, of His worshippers.

TA-HA (TA-HA) 020.082: "But, without doubt, I am (also) He that forgives again and again, to those who repent, believe, and do right, who,- in fine, are ready to receive true guidance."

Indeed in the changing of night and day there is a sign from the most forgiving Allah.

AZ-ZUMAR (THE TROOPS) 039.005: He created the heavens and the earth in true (proportions): He makes the Night overlap the Day, and the Day overlap the Night: He has subjected the sun and the moon (to His law): Each one follows a course for a time appointed. Is not He the Exalted in Power - He Who forgives again and again?

Allah can punish people and display their shameful doings; but because of their good deeds He does not betray them.

Sahih Al Bukhari Volume 6, Book 60, Number 207: Narrated Safwan bin Muhriz (may Allah be pleased with him):

While Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) was performing the Tawaf (around the Ka'ba), a man came up to him and said, "O Abu 'AbdurRahman!" or said, "O Ibn Umar! Did you hear anything from the Prophet about An-Najwa?" Ibn 'Umar said, "I heard the Prophet saying, 'The Believer will be brought near his Lord." (Hisham, a sub-narrator said, reporting the Prophet's words), "The believer will come near (his Lord) till his Lord covers him with His screen and makes him confess his sins. (Allah will ask him), 'Do you know (that you did) 'such-and-such sin?" He will say twice, 'Yes, I do.' Then Allah will say, 'I concealed it in the world and I forgive it for you today.' Then the record of his good deeds will be folded up. As for the others, or the disbelievers, it will be announced publicly before the witnesses: 'These are ones who lied against their Lord."

Allah forgives all sins as long as you call upon Him without ascribing any partners to Him.

Hadith Qudsi 34: On the authority of Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) say: Allah the Almighty said:

O son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. O son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me, I would forgive you. O son of Adam, were you to come to Me with sins nearly as great as the earth and were you then to face Me, ascribing no partner to Me, I would bring you forgiveness nearly as great at it.

It was related by at-Tirmidhi (also by Ahmad ibn Hanbal). Its chain of authorities is sound.

AL-GHAFIR (THE FORGIVER (GOD)) 040.042: "Ye do call upon me to blaspheme against Allah, and to join with Him partners of whom I have no knowledge; and I call you to the Exalted in Power, Who forgives again and again!"

Allah is also named Al-Ghafur, and Al-Ghafir, "Forgiver of sins".

AL-GHAFIR (THE FORGIVER (GOD)) 040.003: Who forgiveth sin, accepteth repentance, is strict in punishment, and hath a long reach (in all things). there is no god but He: to Him is the final goal.

The most beautiful names - Al-Musawwir

Assalaamualekum

Let us learn the most beautiful names of Allah (subhanahu wa taala) together with references from the holy Qur'an and sunnah insha'Allah

AL-MUSAWWIR المصور
THE SHAPER, THE FASHIONER, THE ORGANIZER, THE DESIGNER

AL-HASHR (EXILE, BANISHMENT) 059.024: Huwa Allahu alkhaliqu albari-o almusawwiru ...
He is Allah, the Creator, the Evolver, the Bestower of Forms (or Colours). ...

Allah shaped His creatures and made them numerous and varied. He gave each a form which was unique and distinctive.

AL-ARAF (THE HEIGHTS) 007.011: It is We Who created you and gave you shape;

AL-E-IMRAN (THE FAMILY OF 'IMRAN) 003.006: He it is Who shapes you in the wombs as He pleases. There is no god but He, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

Allah made everything in the best form; adapted to the ends for which it was created.

AL-GHAFIR (THE FORGIVER (GOD)) 040.064: It is Allah Who has made for you the earth as a resting place, and the sky as a canopy, and has given you shape- and made your shapes beautiful,- and has provided for you Sustenance, of things pure and good;- such is Allah your Lord. So Glory to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds!

In addition to the beauty and grandeur of all creations, Allah has endowed man with special aptitudes, faculties, capacities, and special excellence which raise him (humans) to the position of a vicegerent on earth.

AT-TIN (THE FIG) 095.004: We have indeed created man in the best of moulds,

AL-BAQARA (THE COW) 002.030: Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I will create a vicegerent on earth."

Only a self-deceiving man ignores all that and stays away from truth.

AL-INFITAR (THE CLEAVING) 082.006-008: O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- Him Who created thee. Fashioned thee in due proportion, and gave thee a just bias; In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together.

Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah, I am currently memorizing this chapter (Al-Infitar); wherein, Allah, like a mother who bore a child, nurtured, cared, clothed and supported her child all her life; now, when the child grows up, is wondering what has happened to her child that has gone missing in this busy life. The child that doesn't even care to call or, drop by or, say hello once in a while.

Dear brothers and sisters, we may have broken our ties with our creator and sustainer but, mind you, HE never did (break His ties with us)!! He lets us sleep at night by His mercy, He feeds us everyday by His mercy, He has given us joy, happiness, wealth and children by His mercy; and even if we chose not to thank Him ever, He will continue to be the same because He is "THE MOST BENEFICIENT MOST MERCIFUL".

Allah (subhanahu wa taala) reminds us in the Holy Quran:

AL-ANAAM (CATTLE, LIVESTOCK) 006.032: What is the life of this world but play and amusement? But best is the home in the hereafter, for those who are righteous. Will ye not then understand?

In another verse...

AN-NISA (WOMEN) 004.122: Waallatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati sanudkhiluhum jannatin tajree min tahtiha al-anharu khalideena feeha abadan waAAda Allahi haqqan waman asdaqu mina Allahi qeelan
But those who believe and do deeds of righteousness,- we shall soon admit them to gardens, with rivers flowing beneath,-to dwell therein for ever. Allah's promise is the truth, and whose word can be truer than Allah's?

Lets look at the word "for ever", if you have a calculator handy lets try to come up with some numbers... count the years we are going to spend in the gardens of paradise ...

10 years
100 years
1000 years
10000 years
100000 years
1000000 years
10000000 years
100000000000 years
100000000000000 years
10000000000000000000000 years
10000000000000000000000000000000 years
10000000000000000000000000000000000000000 years
100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 years
100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 years
10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 years

I don't believe there exists a calculator that can hold INFINITY!!! FOR EVER AND EVER AND EVER ... !!!! This life (maybe 100 years) compared to infinity is ZERO. Any number divided by infinity is zero, nothing, nada, zilch, zippo...

So, my dear brothers and sisters, please try to take some time and pray as much as possible; grab every opportunities to do good deeds as much as possible. Pray with congregation. Allah will reward us all insha'Allah.

Sahih Al-Bukhari Volume 1, Book 11, Number 589: Narrated Abu Huraira (may Allah be please with him):
Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) said, "If the people knew the reward for pronouncing the Adhan and for standing in the first row (in congregational prayers) and found no other way to get that except by drawing lots they would draw lots, and if they knew the reward of the Zuhr prayer (in the early moments of its stated time) they would race for it (go early) and if they knew the reward of 'Isha' and Fajr (morning) prayers in congregation, they would come to offer them even if they had to crawl."

The most beautiful names - Al-Bari

Assalaamualekum

Let us learn the most beautiful names of Allah (subhanahu wa taala) together with references from the holy Qur'an and sunnah insha'Allah

AL-BARI البارئ
THE MAKER, THE ARTIFICER, THE CREATOR, THE EVOLVER

AL-HASHR (EXILE, BANISHMENT) 059.024: Huwa Allahu alkhaliqu albari-o ...
He is Allah, the Creator, the Evolver, ...

Allah created matter, then He made out of its elements different sorts of things and beings. Bara'a (the root of bari) implies a process of evolving from previously created matter.

SAD (THE LETTER SAD) 038.071-072: Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I am about to create man from clay: "When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him."

His creations are in the right proportions.

AL-QAMAR (THE MOON) 054.049: Verily, all things have We created in proportion and measure.

AL-FURQAN (THE CRITERION) 025.002: He to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth: no son has He begotten, nor has He a partner in His dominion: it is He who created all things, and ordered them in due proportions.

The balance in creation is a wonderful phenomenon. It is the most obvious sign that leads to Him and, obliges us to believe in His existence.

AL-MULK (THE SOVEREIGNTY) 067.003-004: He Who created the seven heavens one above another: No want of proportion wilt thou see in the Creation of (Allah) Most Gracious. So turn thy vision again: seest thou any flaw? Again turn thy vision a second time: (thy) vision will come back to thee dull and discomfited, in a state worn out.

"Fear God, for He is the one who sets right all that concerns you. Read the Qur'an and keep remembering God. For then you will be remembered in the heavens. And that will be a light for you on the earth"
-- Imam Ahmed Ibn Hanbal

The most beautiful names - Al-Khaliq

Assalaamualekum

Let us learn the most beautiful names of Allah (subhanahu wa taala) together with references from the holy Qur'an and sunnah insha'Allah

AL-KHALIQ الخالق
THE CREATOR, THE MAKER

AL-ANAAM (CATTLE) 006.102: Thalikumu Allahu rabbukum la ilaha illa huwa khaliqu kulli shay-in faoAAbudoohu wahuwa AAala kulli shay-in wakeelun
That is Allah, your Lord! there is no god but He, the Creator of all things: then worship ye Him: and He hath power to dispose of all affairs.

AL-GHAFIR (THE FORGIVER (GOD) ) 040.062: Thalikumu Allahu rabbukum khaliqu kulli shay-in la ilaha illa huwa faanna tu/fakoona
Such is Allah, your Lord, the Creator of all things, there is no god but He: Then how ye are deluded away from the Truth!

AL-RAD (THE THUNDER) 013.016: Say: "Who is the Lord and Sustainer of the heavens and the earth?" Say: "(It is) Allah." Say: "Do ye then take (for worship) protectors other than Him, such as have no power either for good or for harm to themselves?" Say: "Are the blind equal with those who see? Or the depths of darkness equal with light?" Or do they assign to Allah partners who have created (anything) as He has created, so that the creation seemed to them similar? Say: "Allah is the Creator of all things: He is the One, the Supreme and Irresistible."

Allah created things out of nothing with no precedence and for a purpose known only to Him

AZ-ZUMAR (THE TROOPS) 039.062-63: Allah is the Creator of all things, and He is the Guardian and Disposer of all affairs. To Him belong the keys of the heavens and the earth: and those who reject the Signs of Allah,- it is they who will be in loss.

What can false gods create?

LUQMAN 031.011: Such is the Creation of Allah: now show Me what is there that others besides Him have created: nay, but the Transgressors are in manifest error.

They have no power, even in front of a fly.

AL-HAJJ (THE PILGRIMAGE) 022.073: O men! Here is a parable set forth! listen to it! Those on whom, besides Allah, ye call, cannot create (even) a fly, if they all met together for the purpose! and if the fly should snatch away anything from them, they would have no power to release it from the fly. Feeble are those who petition and those whom they petition!

We should observe the wonders of creation around us in order to feel the greatness of Allah

AL-E-IMRAN (THE FAMILY OF 'IMRAN) 003.190-191: Behold! in the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the alternation of night and day,- there are indeed Signs for men of understanding,- Men who celebrate the praises of Allah, standing, sitting, and lying down on their sides, and contemplate the (wonders of) creation in the heavens and the earth, (With the thought): "Our Lord! not for naught Hast Thou created (all) this! Glory to Thee! Give us salvation from the penalty of the Fire.
